we ate lots of girl scout cookies, even though, my goal is to eat one box a month & i buy 15 usually, so that i have some room for error. but that way i don't have to go without for a whole year!
maya found a great use for the boxes. she's so funny.
we watched taye until really late, so kate & pat could go to a concert in tucson.
i love that kid.
we hit the farmer's market & made cool musical instruments out of trash. so cool.
we took the light rail & the new rail to the airport had just opened up so we took it for fun.

& then we grabbed some lunch & headed over to marnie's house
to make some pallet benches for the kids. kaymen rented a truck & picked up a lot of them. it took us several hours to make one, minus some more sanding & staining, but they look awesome.

& then we headed to the hills teddy bear picnic fund raiser.
it was a lot of fun! they had some live music & some really great raffles.
i worked really hard on getting people to donate: rei donated a backpack & several awesome accessories ($95 value), my sister made some awesome postcards (on the left), my favorite gal, jill, made some of her amazing caramel's (marnie won them!) & then i donated a portrait session & a necklace. i won a couple bids too, all of them to do with my friend carrie
& her amazing work at suchitysuch.
& then the sprinklers went off! doh.

order, chaos & the space between... a really cool exhibit at the phoenix art museum. i'd heard about this & really wanted to go see it. the next friday night just happened to be their free night, so bryan met us there after work & we explored the halls, but loved the butterflies the most! there were more than 30,000 moths & butterflies over the hallway & first rooms.
i had this vision of maya in the white dress & these powerful butterflies surrounding her. the image didn't really happen like i wanted, but still pretty cool.
if & when we redo their room, i'm totally doing this to her side.
we hit up free art day at the tempe library with jenn, avery & landon.
then we went back to their house for lunch, or as finn will tell you, to play fireman.
finn LOVES his play clothes. and maya did too this time.
arrested! caught red handed!
our dear friends who abandoned us for the amazing state of vermont came in town.
so we met up with them at joe's for some yummy burgers & milkshakes.
sick kids get to watch a lot of t.v. & eat lunch on the couch.
& sleep on daddy, awkwardly.
a friend posted this idea on my facebook page, so we had to do it. it was messy & fun.
