rob & tina's baby shower.

rob & tina, some good frisbee friends, of ours were expecting their first little boy & we hosted their babe shower :)

i was uber impressed with how prepared for this shower we were. it was sunday afternoon & we had mopped, cleaned, scrubbed, swept, dusted everything by saturday night! bryan even scrubbed the back door which is usually sooo covered in skye slobber you can't see out of the bottom half!

i had lined up a cleaning lady to come help, but she was a no show. that's how dirty our house was. we needed professionals.

i love when we have parties because we are both so motivated to clean, which doesn't happen otherwise -we straighten. & my friends there is a difference in this house with: one grown slob, two large dogs & a babe that enjoys throwing his food more than eating it!

i bought little mason jars for the lemonade & decorated them with lil footprints & had picked up some beautiful flowers at the farmer's market.
it was a potluck & there was some yummy stuff!

jim got iced. (you hide a smirnoff ice & whoever finds it has to down it) first of the afternoon. behind the boys is the quote board. you had to leave a quote or words of inspiration for the parents.

& there was one! so we made tom, the culprit drink it.

& then the little man, kyan, made his appearance! (isn't that a great name?) while we were in nashville tn for my sister's wedding! we got to go see him two weeks later :) and here are a few pictures that i took of him.

he was barely two weeks old but they already looked like naturals.

the last part of our trip to louisville...

we moved to bryan's parents house so we could get our fill of gabe & evelyn. we of course had to bring the train set!

gabe is getting so big! he started walking soon after this trip!
i did a photoshoot of our good friends ruth & bryan with their sweet girl, ellen. after the session we had breakfast together. mmmmm muffin.
ellen says give me some of that muffin!

here's the fun happening's at nana's house.

i bought finn his first train set & he was in heaven. uncle john set it up & they had a blast playing choo choo. he's a bit obsessed. when we drive over rail road tracks, even if there are no trains present he says choo choo. this kid is smart i'm telling ya.


nana & i took finn to the park to play with aunt lissa & my dad was able to join us.
my dad was on city council & helped bring brown park to what it is today! dad showed him his name.

nana bought finn this adorable splash pool. he was in it almost constantly.





it seems he's been teething forever, so he gets lots of frozen fruit in the popsicle thingamager.
& since his papa really loves it when he's as messy as possible when he eats i took a picture for him. seriously, bryan can't stand it when he gets dirty while eating.
daddy was on a plane to ky & so we made him a sign!
& then we went to a park to play.
this slide was huge. luckily it was slow going so bryan had time to let him go & run around & catch him before he hit the ground.


& then the reason for our visit was bryan's cousin's wedding.
