ourlilpeanut: steph & jeff come visit

jeff & some of his buddies got some tickets to spring training games & a couple basketball games (sweet sixteen). steph hung out with us. bryan went with the guys when he could- he got tickets to see both of the uofl games, highlight of his year -quite possibly.

it was a beautiful week so we hung out in the backyard for most of it. my sister had a birthday while she was in town. it was her last one before she became a mama & that's a pretty big birthday in my mind. so my mom, jeff & myself treated stephani to a spa day. it was lovely. we got organic facials that were to die for at the jw marriott. then we lounged around for an hour or so in their salt water pool. wish my sitter could have stayed longer... it would have been tooo easy to do that all day. i wish i could afford those more often... seriously so worth spoiling yourself.

finn was in love with rae rae's iphone.

i was painting my toenails & finn wanted to paint his. so i did. a big conversation is still ongoing with bryan about this...

it was so lovely having my sister with us... her world's about to change, big time in about a month.

kylie loves her some pregnant ladies. she's drawn to them.

& then we headed to the botanical gardens to see a purty sunset & do a mini session of that belly. wanted to show you what i was working with... don't they look excited?

this place is magical for like 3 weeks when everything is in bloom.

very funny. it's not that kind of session!

jeff was tired & wanted to ride on finn's back. "no, you can't. you too big."

this series was hilarious.

i was doing some belly close up shots when a hummingbird decided to come get some nectar in the very flowers i was using for my foreground.

steph being silly tried to push her belly all up in it's business.

i caught this maybe a moment too late. another hummingbird (see it? top left) swooped in to say "get outta here" to the orginal hummingbird (straight below it).

scared the crud out of us!!!!!!! their expressions make me laugh.

here's what the excitement was for... pretty, yes? worth it? hell yes. too funny.

finn wouldn't let them alone at all. they were supposed to be walking romantically into the sunset & he jumped right on in there.

we did a few family portraits... too pretty to pass up.

but this is a collection of awkwardness at it's best.
this first one might be the "best" one.

the botanical gardens photographer was there that night. he chatted us up inside & then he was leaving at the same time. we asked if he'd mind taking our photo real quick. he hemmed & hawed

for a few seconds about how he doesn't normally do that.
