february 2013

so this one... is a tiny bit more than 20 images. but it includes several fun events, so waaa waaa.
i'm sorry.  and i can't help it. i have problem.

my sister & her baby boy max came to visit us. jeff had to go to colorado for work so steph said i'm going somewhere cool to! yeah for us!!!! we went to the zoo & fed the giraffes. so cool!

how cute is this picture?

max cracks me up. it was his first big bath... he wasn't sure about it.

we attempted potty training...

we'd try each potty, several times a day. nothing really happened, but we were breaking her in!

snuggles.

love this face.

a pro now.

upset she can't even get a shot at being a pro...
at this time she was too small for the skute, even with it turned upside down.

i did a lil mini session... he's such a beautiful child. love his eyes.

and his good lord' cheeks!

i love these next two of them together.

a couple weekend's later we flew home for my dad's open house. he's lived in the same one bedroom apt since the divorce. it was a tight squeeze on the nights he'd have us. i hadn't been in his apt in over 14 years... so this was a HUGE deal. we were all so proud of him for doing this, with the help of a couple cute angels named david & hank.

we met my mom, dad & auntie, steph & max at www cousins for dinner.

max & bryan snuggling. well, one person wanted to snuggle ;)

lil heart throb.

nana & maya, being cute!

we got to visit the lourdes fish fry. which is always fun!

we headed to stay at dad's new place for the first time... his brother phil & his family came in town.
he & my other uncle paul, came by to say goodnight.

dad got out finn's old trains. he was in heaven. trains to play with inside.
trains going by across the street & a firehouse right next door.
ron, bryan's dad, told my dad the "gloves were off!"
them are grandpa fightin words!

it was a great party... i didn't take many pictures, but there were maybe 40 people there.

the 5 siblings together again. it's been i don't know how long.

that girl there on the left, rachel... i was her nanny. i took care of her for the 1st six months of her life.
she was so precious; i can't believe how big she is now. and there's my baby loving on her.
and their big cousin caroline.

giving auntie a big hug.

stop it grandpa!!

remember that game?!

then we headed on to the paris' house. the walking bridge over the ohio river opened a few weeks
earlier so we wanted to do it, even though it was freezing!

  our city, or home... louisville.

remember this game?!

uncle dennis!

lunch before we left...

back in phoenix bryan spent the morning with finn's class teaching them about weather!
he read them cloudy with a chance of meatballs & we brought the rain stick
& each kid got to turn the stick when it rained food.

and then after a couple hours of looking online the night before, he decided to do the shaving cream, water, food dye experiment. water in a cup. shaving cream as clouds, food dye as rain & eventually it makes its way through the clouds & does a cool thing once it hits the water.
i love this photo.

doing their song before lunch. thank you for the moon...

i have done a photo session with each babe when they were around 6 months old.
so i wanted to do a session with them together. and hope to do it every year.

my favorite from the session.

my other favorite from the session.

okay then it got bizarre. it snowed/hailed/bryan says it's called something else but i can't remember what in scottsdale. we got rain. but it was appropriate to wear rain boots & a rain jacket to school that day.

see snow!!!!!

they were playing with cool shapes & colors on the projector.

i'd been looking for a tree house for the kids. we don't have a swing set or anything really fun in the backyard for the kids... so i really wanted a tree house.  kace's dad mentioned in passing his neighbor was trying to get rid of theirs. i told him i'd be interested & so he asked & time went by. i asked again & he said yeah, we're having a street yard sale this saturday, come by & check it out. so i did & i fell in love!!! i didn't want plastic, but i had no idea a wooden tree house could be so beautiful! we picked it up a couple weeks later. our friend tricky saved us from the trouble of completely breaking it down & let us use his truck! thanks tricky, you're the best!

it came with two lil flower pots in a window bed, but i spray painted two bigger pots & bought some fake flowers at michael's for 25 cents each!!! but finn wanted to plant real plants...

we filled up our little hummingbird feeder &
placed it outside their house to welcome my grandma & grandpa
(we believe they're hummingbirds now, it's an awesome story, if you'd like to hear it.)

they LOVE it.

i walked into the living room to this beautiful picture. it struck me as important that one day i'd see her doing this exact same thing at her wedding. it really kinda stung & almost made me cry.
one day she won't run to me saying "mama!" she's already not my little baby anymore.

we stopped by jill's farmer's market booth to get some of her AMAZING caramels. finn's her no 1 fan!

see that big scary dog in this picture... maya was terrified & in a split second she saw that dog & clutched onto her daddy for dear life. bryan was in heaven.

we started to let him use the old ipod more by himself.

shooo. okay. well done for sticking with me :)
